Two girls walked in from recess today. One white, one black. I only use their skin color to help differentiate for this story. Black girl was helping white girl walk. They were on their way to see the school nurse because white girl injured her ankle. Here's our dialogue:
Me: Uh-oh, what happened?
White girl: I fell off the swing.
Black girl: Yeah, another girl pushed her off the swing.
White girl: Yeah.
Black girl: Yeah, but she stuck the landing.
Me: {laughing on the inside}
Stuck the landing?! Yeah, don't think so. Sometimes my internship is okay.
